By road

From the South
Exit M6 at junction 36
From this roundabout filter left onto the A590 (towards Kendal)
Follow the A590 for approximately 7 miles
At the roundabout take the first exit, signposted B5284 ‘Hawkshead via ferry’
Continue along the road for about 6 miles, through the village of Crook and past the golf club
At the T-junction with the A5074, turn left for approximately 200m and the entrance to Lindeth Fell is on your left.
From the North
Exit M6 at junction 36 (signposted A590 Kendal)
Then follow the same directions as ‘from the South’

By rail

The nearest railway station is Windermere, 4 miles from Lindeth Fell. This is serviced by a connecting train from the mainline station of Oxenholme, which is 12 miles from the Hotel. Local taxis are available at both stations.

By air

Our nearest airport is Manchester.


Frequently asked questions

  1. Can I bring my dog to Lindeth Fell?

    Regretfully we are a pet free property, and only registered Guide Dogs are accepted. There are lots of dog friendly hotels in the lakes, but we are one of the few who do not - a haven for people with pet allergies.

  2. Are you family friendly?

    We accommodate children over 12 years old, and family groups for an Exclusive Use booking. There are not extra beds for rooms so children will require a room, we do have 2 single occupancy rooms.

  3. Do you have free car parking and wifi.

    We have free, private, on site parking; free wifi is also available.

  4. What times are your Check-In and Check-Out?

    Check-In is from3pm, please let us know if you have a late arrival time. Check-out is by 11am.

  5. Do you cater for dietary requirements and allergies?

    Please notify us before arrival, of any allergies and dietary requirements. We do our best to accommodate you but may not be able to help in some circumstances.
